We’re here to support new and hopeful moms through the raw, overwhelming, identity-shifting seasons of motherhood—and womanhood.

About Us

Trying, deciding, questioning, unraveling

Motherhood, and the mysterious journey toward it, has it all. It isn’t just busy. It’s relentless. Between sleepless nights, identity shifts, and a system that rarely supports moms, it’s no wonder so many women feel anxious, overwhelmed, or like they’ve lost themselves in the process.

Our goal

Let’s change the narrative surrounding motherhood

You don’t have
to be selfless to be
a good mom (or
person)

You don’t have
to be “fine” all
the time

You don’t have to
become a mom the
“traditional” way
—if at all

You don’t have
to shrink yourself
because your life is
expanding

I’m Salina Grilli

I was stunned by how isolating and unsupported motherhood could feel when I first became a mom. This is coming from a highly trained therapist who had spent years in therapy with plenty of great tools.

At the time, Manhattan Modern Therapy was primarily supporting clients in recovery from eating disorders and anxious high achievers trying to keep it all together (and we still do). But, as I navigated postpartum—and as I watched many of my clients become moms—a new fire lit inside me.

Moms and moms-to-be needed relatable mental health support that didn’t shy away from the hard stuff. So, I made that my clinical focus and personal mission.

We bridged our specialties to help high-achieving women as they navigate anxiety, perfectionism, and mounting pressures—on top of every stage of motherhood.

Salina Grilli

LCSW, PMH-C

I'm a Columbia-trained psychotherapist with a certification in Perinatal Mental Health and advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I specialize in helping high-achieving women navigate the emotional realities of motherhood, from family planning and fertility challenges to postpartum depression, birth trauma, and beyond.

My goal is to create sessions that are warm, collaborative, and designed with the modern mom in mind. I integrate mind-body modalities that go beyond talk therapy, supporting lasting change—not just symptom management.

My career includes over a decade working in the eating disorder space, supporting young adults struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, and body image. I also specialize in working with women through every stage of the motherhood journey.

My work with mothers is rooted in the belief that healing happens in safe, connected relationships. Whether you're grieving a loss, navigating the identity shift of new motherhood, or simply trying to stay afloat, I want you to feel like you have a nurturing space where you don’t have to go through it alone.

“Working with Salina has changed my life. I saw a few therapists before her, and was making no progress.
