We specialize in helping anxious high-achievers navigate trauma (via EMDR), disordered eating, and the full spectrum of motherhood.

Reconnect with yourself—beyond the roles of professional, mother, or partner

Therapy should be more than simply rehashing your problems

It’s finding ways to move past them for real.

At Manhattan Modern Therapy, we help you solidify your sense of self amongst the many complicated stages of motherhood and pre-motherhood.

Through evidence-based practices like EMDR, somatic work, and relational therapy, you’ll work on moving past the pervasive stress of “keeping it all together.”

Process trauma and find deeper healing

Aha-moments in talk therapy are a starting point, but sometimes we need to go deeper. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) is an integrative model that helps your brain process trauma and take the “charge” out of it to help you move forward.

Weekly EMDR: Incorporate regular EMDR healing into your ongoing therapy. We’ll work on helping your brain reprocess traumatic memories so they no longer set off the alarm system.

EMDR Intensives: If your schedule makes it difficult to commit to weekly sessions, EMDR Intensives may be a great option for you. They provide a structured EMDR process for those ready to address trauma in a condensed timeframe.

About EMDR

  1. Schedule a free, 15-minute phone consultation to see if we feel like a good fit
  2. Complete intake paperwork so we understand your health history
  3. Schedule your first session, where we’ll get to know you and your goals for therapy

If you feel like you’re losing yourself, let’s explore how we can support you. Start with a free consultation so we can get to know each other and see if we’re a good fit.
